Why an enclosed rotating drum

No piles to turn

All mixing happens automatically in the rotating drum, so there is no tractor work. That cuts costs and operating time.

Well aerated, fewer odours

Frequent automated rotations keep the mix aerated, for good composting conditions without unpleasant odours.

Less carbon material

The rotating drum needs less carbon-rich material than other composting methods.

Pathogen reduction

The process keeps the material above 55 °C (130 °F) for at least 3 days: the conditions to reduce or destroy pathogens.

Year-round, continuous

Composting runs all year, and new material can be added regularly.

Built to last, easy to run

Solid construction with minimal maintenance. The control panel can also run your conveyors, mixer or shredder.

How it works

1 · Load

Load the material and its carbon source into the composter.

2 · Rotate & aerate

The drum turns and aerates the mix automatically, keeping the process consistent.

3 · Mature

The material comes out of the composter and finishes maturing until it is stable.

4 · Use or sell

Spread the compost on your land, use it on site, or sell it.

Options

Adapt the composter to your site, your material and your way of loading.

Doors: swing or sliding

Swing doors (single or double) open easily by hand and are a good choice with a conveyor. The sliding door has a large 7 ft opening for loading with a tractor or excavator. Both have an integrated lock.

Single swing door standard on 410–430 and 510–530 · double doors standard on 616–632, option on 510–530 · sliding door option on 416–430, 516–530 and 616–632.

Forced ventilation

More oxygen in the drum for the microorganisms. Recommended for most applications.

  • Steady aeration and better performance
  • Lower risk of odours
  • Helps dry the material
  • Increases composter capacity

Option on all models except the 406, 506 and 608.

Screw feeder

Automates loading when large quantities need to be treated, together with conveyors.

  • Faster, automated loading
  • Less contact with the material
  • Better odour management in some cases
  • Needs homogeneous, broken-down input: frozen lumps or compostable bags can cause problems

Option on 510–530 and 616–632.

Fume hood

Controls or redirects odours, fumes and vapours. Recommended when the system is installed indoors, in a building, hangar or container. It connects to a carbon filter or biofilter.

Option on all models except the 406, 506 and 608. See odour management.

Sifter

Screens the compost as it comes out. Coarse or partly composted pieces go back into the drum; contaminants such as plastics or utensils are removed.

  • More homogeneous, higher-quality compost
  • More uses for the finished compost

Epoxy coating and stainless cladding

The drum is galvanized steel as standard. A high-performance epoxy coating protects the inside (recommended for food waste and makes inspections easier); stainless steel cladding protects the outside.

  • Longer composter life
  • A robust, clean finish

Option on all models.

Support frame and extra module

The support frame is modular: bolted, interchangeable beams that adapt to the drum size, wheel diameter and motor. If you lengthen the drum with an extra module later, the frame is extended with it.

  • Parts can be replaced one by one
  • Fits different motors

Extra module: option on 410–424, 510–524, 616 and 624.

Control panel

Runs the composter, and can be customized to automate your conveyors, mixer or shredder.

Standard on 410–430, 510–524 and 616–632 · option on 530.
